Honestly, my first “farming” experience was spring 2022 (this spring) when I had to leave Kyiv because of a fucking war and go be in a village in the Karpathian mountains for a while. Studying Bicyclist Behavior

Great video about how really looking at how cyclists use streets and intersections reveals what’s important to those using bike infrastructure in cities. The most interesting bit (for me) is that “conserving momentum” is one of the most important things for a cyclist. I never thought about that, but it’s so true. I literally pick my routes based on how many underground street crossings there are on it. I’ll add up to 300m to my route just as long as it saves me from the hassle of getting off my bike to walk up/down stairs to cross a street....
